Governance
Code of Ethics
Adopted by the Board of Directors: August 6, 2026
This code applies to every director, officer, employee, contractor, and volunteer acting on behalf of Nuclear Fusion Events.
Honest representation
We do not claim impact before a program exists, describe an experiment as a proven result, or publish figures without methods, context, and limitations. We do not imply partnership, endorsement, or certification we have not been granted. Where we cite the work of other organizations, we identify it as theirs.
Stewardship of funds
Charitable contributions are used for the charitable purposes described when they were solicited. We maintain records adequate to demonstrate this and file all required federal and state returns on time.
Conflicts of interest
Anyone with a financial or personal interest in a matter before the organization must disclose it and abstain from the decision. This is governed in detail by our Conflict of Interest Policy.
Respect and safety
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or retaliation on any basis. This applies to our own operations and to any event, pilot, or partnership carried out in our name.
Confidentiality
Non-public information obtained through the organization is not used for personal benefit or disclosed without authorization. Operational data shared with us by partners is treated as theirs.
Legal compliance
We comply with the laws governing California nonprofit public benefit corporations and with the conditions of our federal tax exemption, including the prohibition on political campaign intervention and private inurement.
Raising a concern
Suspected violations may be reported to the Board at nuclearfusionevents@gmail.com. Good-faith reports will not result in retaliation of any kind.
