The Problem and the Shift
A plan buried backstage does not change what people feel in the room. Neither does a partner logo, a recycling bin, or a grand impact claim with nothing behind it.

Current Work
NFE is focused on public education, partner development, pilot design, and measurement that can survive contact with reality.
Focused pilots that let festivals, venues, and communities test one useful idea before anyone declares a revolution.
Active DevelopmentEssays and resources about regenerative festivals, audience care, cultural infrastructure, and responsible event design.
OngoingCare, accessibility, hydration, recovery, clean energy, and circular systems people can actually experience.
Active DevelopmentNFE has not yet produced a large-scale public festival. Current work is research, public education, relationship-building, pilot design, and measurement. We will not call something impact until evidence exists. The complete work-in-progress is outlined on the Programs and Impact page.
Founder-Led, Deliberately Early
Richard Saxe Coulson founded NFE after years across nightlife, festivals, music media, artist infrastructure, and international touring. The aim is not to bolt sustainability onto culture. It is to make culture part of how better systems become real. Read more about NFE’s leadership and governance.
“Temporary cultural worlds can do more than entertain us. They can help us practice better ways of caring for people, sharing resources, supporting culture, and living together.”
