About and Transparency

Build the Vision. Keep the Structure Honest and Transparent.

NFE is founder-led and early. We are building the advisory network, governance, partnerships, and program infrastructure without pretending the scaffolding is already a cathedral.

Founder

Richard Saxe Coulson

Founder and Board President

Saxe has spent nearly two decades deep inside the world of electronic music culture. He has served as a promoter, publicist, magazine editor and writer, and US artist visa consultant, and has made thousands of connections spanning everything from venture capitalists to world-renowned DJs and producers. He is now using NFE as a mechanism to leverage that network in order to make the world of DJs, music, art, events, and festivals — and the culture surrounding it — both more sustainable and more profitable. Connect with Saxe on LinkedIn or email him directly.

Temporary events are small cities. Energy is generated, stored, distributed, consumed, measured, and experienced — and most of that stays invisible to the people standing on the dancefloor.

Financial transparency

What we can show you, and what does not exist yet.

Nuclear Fusion Events is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 88-3126476. We have filed Form 990-N (e-Postcard) for tax years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, with gross receipts not greater than $50,000 in each. The 990-N is a minimal filing that produces no public financial detail. That is normal at this size, and we would rather say so than imply more activity than exists.

You do not have to take our word for any of it. Every filing above is public:

We do not yet publish an annual report, because we do not yet have a year of program activity worth reporting. When we do, it will include what worked, what did not, and what it cost.

Our recognition and filing status can be verified independently through the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search, ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer, Candid, and the California Registry of Charities and Fundraisers — all linked in the verification section above.
